  • write a ‘litepaper’ based on Wolf traits that translates to the game (can be a Google Spreadsheet, Airtable, Google Doc, etc — must be cloud-based)
  • think outside the box, get advice from the community, work together if needs be
  • make sure you are fully familiar with the aspects written in The Game Litepaper: Chapter 001 to take full advantage of all different dynamics
  • winner earns 1eth and any runners up will be airdropped a wolf
  • submit by April 23
  • you must own a wolf to be deemed applicable to win
  • a space will be held with the winner and runners up to discuss their thought processes

A large portion of our ethos at Star Wolvez is dedicated to keeping a continuous connection to the Wolvez in this Discord. Whether that be to shoot the breeze, make new friendships, decide how Genesis Wolvez were earned, or brainstorm new ideas for the Discord dynamics.

In our efforts to mature this relationship, we want to decentralize some of the decisions around the game into your hands. It starts with the two things: a Wolf Dao (vote based on your Wolf holdings) and a bounty for someone who comes up with the most thoughtful and popular breakdown of what each trait should mean in game.

Core tenants to remember:

  • There must be balance, rare Wolvez will be highly powered due to the impact that rarity has on HP so any rare traits should be nerfed to allow for less rare traits to have some purpose and meaningful contribution. Although we all love the Blobs and Guns, there have to be interesting benefits to all traits.
  • Think outside the box; it is easy to say “the guns add more firepower during games”, but more interesting dynamics can be found in the edges. e.g. Gold and Yellow Wolvez have a 5% and 3% improved success rate on Legendary Asteroid mining missions respectively, Blue and Green Wolvez have a 8% and 5% improved success rate on Epic Asteroid mining missions respectively, etc
  • Take creative freedom: For example, each armor has a particular name— some less obvious at first glance than others. In some cases, the armor or trait name may not seem to fit into the current game modes offered in the recent Litepaper. You should feel free — with creative license — to invent new game modes based on these traits that can be implemented down the road. Maybe there is a Marine or Flora-based Asteroid that spawns less frequently than all others?

Submission criteria:

  • Your litepaper can take the form of a Google Spreadsheet, Google Doc, an Airtable, or a Notion document — We will not accept files we would need to download, they must be in the cloud for security purposes
  • The more comprehensive you are about each trait, and the coverage of all traits, will improve likelihood of success
  • If we feel that there is a tie break between two submissions, we will reward both
  • You can work together on the project although we ask that one person handles the submission and ensuing breakdown of winnings to their collaborators
  • You will need to own a Wolf to be chosen in the finalists, prove this by using the Collabland channel in our Discord >
  • We will host a Space with the winner and runners up to go over the winning submission and runner up submissions to fine-tune, celebrate, and generally get a sense of what you envision for the traits

Disclaimers

  • Game design is a fluid and complex process, we may not be able to use all concepts put forth by the winning submission
  • We fully anticipate great gameplay ideas and concepts to exist in submissions that may ultimately not be deemed the winner. We will have an additional bounty of Wolvez if any number of ideas (runner ups) are used from a non-winning submission. (If multiple submissions have the same concept, the first one submitted will be eligible regardless of the idea being conceptualized independently)
